no your in the firing line........

Cant quite believe how far south the sleet is at present

Was the precip predicted to be rain when it first made landfall? Could be promising if so...

WIB... nice. So much for nearly a km of elevation then haha.

Oh well, and a couple of inches on Monday which only just melted today so can't complain too much, a darnsite more than in the last two years!

1000m of elevation would certainly do it!

Weird that you are getting rain and WiB snow.

Eh? Never heard of sleet settling before! You sure it's not snow or soft hail?

Hi, just popped in out of curiosity - what's the closest to the south coast that it's snowing/sleeting in your region at the mo?

supposed to have been sleeting for well over an hour in my location, but I've seen nothing. loads of us on here have had the same. It's evaporating before it hits the ground apparantley.

This snow does seem quite dry first thing even for elevation i was expecting some wet snow and then for it to improve from 10ish

temp is 0.5c

Quite a lot of snow left here, garden front and back still completely covered although thinner than yesterdays, now closer to around 2 inches.

Paths and pavements has got patchy snow, but shade has made difference.

Strange to see the BBC the latest forecast has the event considerably different to that of earlier. I wouldn't be that worried about the currentl wintry stuff, the main band is not due until overnight, perhaps a little earlier for the SW of England.

I remain pretty confident that we will get a further accumulation at this altitude, but snowfall amounts are very uncertain, further east over the Welsh Valleys far more is likely.

Where are you?

Bit pointless saying 'snowing/sleeting here' if no one knows where you are!

Maybe you could pop your location into your profile please then it'll show up below your avatar, cheers  .

Lamp post watch in Westbury reveals nothing at present, regular checks will be made and eyes are on the radar with what's heading up from the South but may miss to the East initially.

Those further North, any little showers on radar may not realise potential because here earlier the precipitation did not reach the ground.

snowin in bristol tho

Not here.

Frankly, I thought what Mr Angwin forecast was an absolute let down. Snow overnight and that's it. Wales and a bit further north to get bloomin' loads.

Ah, well, the daydreams were nice whilst they lasted........
