Met Office Radar for NW Engand has The PPN heading directly for us

No need to panic at this Stage

we've seen it all before when things head our way but then change to follow the forecast route lol..i bet the gfs is right, it fizzles out on us then reintensifies down south lol

thanks! its taking me a while to get my head around this weather.lol. :D

hehe yeah it sure does!!

The latest graphics on News24 show the snow fragmenting quickly across the North West with most of the snow going through the Midlands :D

Yet the radar shows the snow heading straight for us.

I give up

Andy

The radar usually tells the truth.

Meto now warning of up to 10cm for SW Scotland.

its lovely and sunny now with cloud all around in all directions.

Temp now 2C

Dew point -1C

Think the band has stalled right slap bang in the middle of the irish sea, looking at whisps of cloud hitting the region at roughly southport area..but its deffo not moving towards liverpool with any speed.

Be nice to know what temp the irish sea is right now?

I hope you are right Mark, the MetO graphics just dont match the radar or even what the presenters are saying!

It could drive you to drink

wouldnt worry about what the beeb say too much lol

Liverpool is perhaps the only place on earth where if we where in an iceage it would be gloriously warm and sunny..thanks to all the polluting companies in this city..leave your window open and within 5 days they are black with god knows what :):bad: no wonder it never snows..last time a good dumping ie over at least 5 or 6 inches was something like 1982...so something major has changed to stop it snowing

you have 4.7C? :bad:

our dew point is now 0C and 2.6C..this is majorly borderline just when a nice intense band of snow hits the wirral.

Well it is glorious sunshine here with hardly a cloud in site, once again i get my hopes up only for them to be dashed yet again, why is it we always keep missing out on any decent snow.

its starting to get dark here. its marginal at best for us at lower levels maybe a little better for higher elevations. The beeb keep banging on about heavy snow for n ireland which is not exactly tallying with airport forecasts.

i guess it really depends on your dew point and to an extent your current temps, hopefully we are going to see a cooling off again soon..one can only be hopeful.

Thanks for that, looks like it is intensifying again, still loads of snow on the ground here and all frozen solid. I am sure we will get some more at our altitude.

I have a funny feeling we may get something out of tomorrow nights low pressure, it has been drifting further North on every run - you never know.

be lovely if we did..would love to see some more snow and not just a dusting this time lol

just had another look at the radar and it seems to have intensified and slightly changed direction as if its following the north wales coast round to the wirral.

take a look at how fast this is developing

Temp 3c, DP -1c here 20 mins ago. Hopefully will be a little less as sunlight lessens. I'm still hopeful - latest radar looking good. Temps and DPs are going to be SO vital.
