Looks like a brief lull for that badly affected area near Exeter before the next bash comes in with some more very heavy snow.

Looks like there is some scary weather out there......

BBC said they are opening Exeter race course to get people off that hill.

Very heavy here in central Bristol......looks like it will be chaos in the streets of Bristol again :D

Well, the only good thing I have to report is that the sleet and snow that left a dusting about 2 hours ago has melted at all so it should give a good base for hopefully the snow we should see later.... maybe.....

Has now gone very still here and temp has dropped to 2.2, dewpoint 2.0 and for the first time today the pressure is dropping. Does anyone think there is any possibility of it snowing here tonight or is that it now? (not that I have had any snow yet lol)

BBC said they are opening Exeter race course to get people off that hill.

Ah, that hill! I thought it was closer to Exeter than that.

Last February I went to the Go Ape place (rope ladders, zip slides etc) that's in the forest on the other side of the A38 to the racecouse. As we drove through Exeter there was a bit of drizzle and then as we drove up the 'that' hill it turned to snow which stayed falling until we left, albeit lightly, until we drove back down, and then it turned back to rain.

We are really on the edge of this , but the radar does suggest something heavier pushing in.

Probably not quite as heavy as further south though.

Goatherd - nice photos!!

Coming down heavy and at last starting to settle on the wet roads in NE Bristol.

Radar looks like a gap coming up. BUT I think its starting to stall on a SW-NE line through Wales and the PPN looks like its starting to "stretch East".

Hoping that this will be more evident within the hour and this keeps Bristol within the PPN.

I think we will see a stop as reported in somerset etc. but signs further south of a build further east which will keep us in the picture.
