A steady thaw has set in around the house and on roof ect although it doesnt seem to be melting deep laying snow on grass and paths of 1.5/2 feet

Temperature is rather high at the moment outside its 3.5 i think partly because we have a fair bit of cloud cover with the sunny spells forcing temps up.

hope sky clears soon.

Just had a good shower in the Carmarthen area - temp dropped from 3.5C to 1.9C. Large flakes, didn't readily settle on tarmac but settled okay on grass, soil, etc. Left a light coating.

Funny, but the temp was 0.9C earlier yet it rained and sleeted.

Funny old weather. Must be a lot of cold/less cold air mixing going on.

When it happens going by recent days, even tomorrow may see some snow, although SW England and parts of South Wales especially low lying may miss out.

Monday looks a lot better.

GFS seems to keep wanting to bring this deep low further north most of the runs I`ve see.

WOW just read the daily mail!! CHELTENHAM IS ON THE FRONT PAGE :-O "Cars struggle through heavy snow near Cheltenham yesterday."

Sorry if that has been said before but I don't think we have been a weather headline since 2007 flooding and then 1991 when it was 37.5C... actually that's quite a bit I seem to be in quite a prime location for this extreme weather!

Its odd, cos part of me wants to see the low slide south leaving us in lovely, snowfilled cold air, but on the otherhand, I'd quite like to get out off the village at some point, the roads are shocking out there and the council appears to have forgotten we exist and have given the snow ploughs and gritters the weekend off. So any more snow would mean... well, god knows. But the supply of beer is running low, and that just won't do. Call in the Army!:doh:

Or, perhaps ... a lovely snowmobile
