Yep quite big flakes here, it's nice when snow takes you by surprise.

Hello James, where in West Cumbria are you from? I was working in Wales when that Blizzard hit, I returned home and there was huge drifts all over the place and big piles next to the roads, had some excellent if rather hairy walks on the fells too.

harrington up the coast from st bees

Yes, didn't expect that little brief mini-snow shower - I wasn't even radar watching because there didn't appear to be anything there, but it's left a dusting in it's wake.

Yeah it's left a nice covering here too, hopefully some more might come off the Irish sea.

Dewpoint just too high here. It's currently 3.1C with dewpoint of 0.8C so rain :):)

Thats the coast for you

Yeh spitting a little, it's coming from the west by the looks of it. Generally cloudy out that way anyway. When it clears there might be some ice!

It's shame that front went out into the North Sea, hopefully the Irish Sea will spawn off a few more showers.

Well looking out west to northwest the sky had an orange hue to it, so it does indeed look like a 'Cheshire Gap' effect is setting itself up.

Possibly, might take a little while to come into effect. It would be interesting to see if Northwich got snow/sleet or rain. CS whats your current temperature/dewpoint

I've seen changes in the past in regard to cloud cover, it can look like it's diminishing then just crowd back in - thats what's so good about the north channel streamers, they are so unpredictable.

Just to let you know that at the moment there is heavy rain and the temperature has risen to 3.8C and the dewpoint 1.2C so there's little evaporative cooling taking place in the showers.
