Quick question to the Bristol people!

I have a few hours to kill on sunday morning, what is there to do?! Also, is the train station anywhere near anything remotely central?

Which train station are you arriving into? Temple Meads which is about 15 mins walk from the Centre or Bristol Parkway which is in Stoke Gifford, north bristol?

If you're at TM then walk into the Centre and have a beer or two onb the waterside.

Heavy snow here now, settling but not as fast as rate of fall would suggest. Just looked up definition of blizzard: -7c, 56 mph wind and poor visibility. Well got 1 out of 3 here, so heavy snow it is! Not seen it this heavy since the early eighties, hope it doesn't turn to drizzle and go away before sunrise as BBC suggest...

There appears to be a 'heavy' echo just off the coast down here, hoping it pushes inland slightly!

Templemeads, easy to find I assume? I have been to Bristol, but not for a few years and never by train.

Over an inch of snow here and all the stuff that melted earlier has been regained. If you want to see it just come up OR down the M5 and get off at Falfield. So much snow the sky is glowing white! Not since this since 1982! :)

TMeads. Right, you could get on a bus, number 8 that goes to Clifton, but ask the driver to tell you when you get to the Centre, although it's pretty obvious i suppose or you could walk out of TM, down to lights where Holiday Inn Express is and then head towards St Mary Redcliffe church towards Queens Square and you're in The Centre.

Nah if you watch the radar its splitting over cheltenham as it pivots

Unless it shifts another 15 miles south and carries on pivoting it should start getting lighter here

Snowing lightly here now but looks like heavier stuff to come soon.

Difficult to know whether the floods or the snow will be the biggest problem in the morning !

Annoying isn't it. At least you have snow, I'm just watching that green echo not getting here :cc_confused:
