Welll I hope so otherwise my mirrors are playing tricks on me lol

Ed: They say the Brits are famous for moaning, no storms, bunk winters phhhtttt!!! Kidding

But things have changed, Jo...Summers may be better, but winters? They are a different story: either it's cold and grey or it's mild and grey - whatever the temperature - it's grey! :(:(

What's more: there's bugger all convection here, today!! <_<

PS: What a lovely face you have! :D

I'm seeing some biggish clouds here - any chance of convection and storms here for this evening?

C'mon guys, get a room already. <_<

All the heavy precip seems to disappear just before reaching us so far. Fingers x-ed for something this evening, even if only some nicely photogenic clouds.

Heres a web cam from Galway Harbour if you scrool down to the 2nd picture you can see another Thunder Storm coming in over Galway Bay on the West Coast of Ireland we have had torrential rain here all day with floods.

The 3rd camera down is broken its shows the recent fine summer we had.

It was last week 2 days in a row west no thundery showers here though.

This was the pic that I took last wednesday with mid-level turretts when the storm clouds also lined up in the west. <_<

All of those Thunderstorms on 2 days last week missed me - the seemed to stop behind the mountains and travel North Eastwards! I hated that - Although Snowdonia is the most beautiful place in the UK, they can be annoying when storms occur as you can't see anything from the South due to them blocking the view and they also kill storms and just leave us with heavy rain!

I drove straight through that in Chorley on my way home from Preston on the m61. It looked liked a thunderstorm as I was approaching <_< .You didn.t miss much actually just some boring moderate/heavy rain, didnt see any lightening/thunder.

Just seen a couple of flashes to my west, quite far away and no thunder heard but nice to see. Looks like it could be building a little on it's eastern side so I could get a little closer yet. If I was out chasing I would like to have been just west of Consett now.

At the risk of actually talking about convection in the storm/convective discussion, there's a rash of showers across mid/southern wales training NEwards into the west midlands...No sferics on NW Extra at the mo, but some impressive echoes on radar <_<

Aye seems you are right, looking at the detector there has been a few strikes detected in it as it has moved along, but not very many.

Maybe enough to give a rumble or 2 but certainly no heat thunderstorm type.

I have my eye on another area of developing showers to the southwest now as they are getting strikes detected in them already.

According to IIGTRT I'm due for another soaking anytime and it has changed from light showers for me to moderate rain lol.

Summers are wetter than they use to be,especially 2007/08,this year wants to be dryer as it is so far. :D

Anyway looks like a very showery picture monday with showers of longer spells of rain.

Looks like your area will get the heaviest looking at GFS.
