Today has seen my rainfall breech the 100mm mark, and it's still raining. With another 5 days of the Month left, and more wet weather on the way, could get upto 120-130mm.

Could be the wettest Month of the year so far.

July so far 165.5 mm. 40yr July average same site, same MO gauge, is 99.9mm.

Readings at 9am GMT, so today's rain not included.

Reord wet July was 2007 with 252.2mm.

We're now on 91.1mm which is more than what was recorded in July 2008 (90.9mm). Its still some way off July 2007 however (127.6mm).

We'd normally expect 139.1mm in summer, but due to a remarkably dry June (12.7mm) we're still some 36mm below the average.

I actually want it to rain more today so I can get past the 200mm mark for the month, as it's currently standing at 199mm.

Even if it didn't rain anymore this month, it would easily beat the previous wettest July; 2007 with 167mm.

I think I should rename this very wet summer now. :)

2007...386mm

1998...279.4mm

1997...260.3mm

2008...246.3mm

2000...245.1mm

1999...242.5mm

2009...224.7mm after today/yesterdays rain.

Just shows how wet the late 90`s was here into 2000.

Last 3 summers are in a league of there own though.

I wonder of we could scrape into the top 20, fair bit of rain to come yet, with Weds looking particularly monsoonified.

131.7mm is currently in the 20th spot.

I have to wipe away from my lips, flecks of jealous-rage induced foam as I read this.

A little over 116 mm here and about 24 mm short of the July record.

Currently running at 111.3mm.

If the forcast's are correct, Wednesday looks very wet, so could easily add another 15-20mm's.

The figure is creeping up now at 129.1mm so far this month which makes it the second wettest July I've recorded after 2007 and one ahead of July 2008. Looks like a fair bit of rain on Wednesday too so could easily push the 150mm mark.

2006...113mm

With the forecast looking wet tomorrow and very wet on Wednesday here, could be close to my wettest month recorded in this area (since 2002), that is 248mm but was a January. Currently on about 190mm.

Derek Brockway of BBC Wales weather, reported today that Llanfynydd in Carmarthenshire is on 290mm so far!

Yep...the forecast for the next couple of days makes me think I'm going to tip over that magic 200mm mark. On the upside, my lawn is very green this year.

I have to wipe away from my lips, flecks of jealous-rage induced foam as I read this.

What's wrong with you man? I can understand you being jealous of me; many are, but for my rainfall?!

A dry "rain day" yesterday! 9GMT-9GMT. Only the third dry one this month. However it started to rain a few minutes ago and it looks to be wet for rest of today.

So far 171.4mm this July. May yet get into the 200 club like OON.

Since 1968 only two Julys have joined that special "very wet ones" 200 club.

July 1988 with 246.5mm

July 2007 with 262.2mm

Oooops. Apologies... wrong specs

Very wet Julys here should read

1988 248.5 mm

2007 252.2 mm

I am pluvially obsessed. Even my psychiatrist cannot understand why huge rainfall totals would cause such excitement.

Are there other reasons why I would be jealous of you? as I sit here looking into the mirror and smiling at myself I can think of none.

A little over 116 mm here now and I'm hoping for showers this afternoon. Wednesday looks good!.

I haven't totted up the totals from the weekend in addition to that which went before but it's now nearing 130mm (maybe a little more) this month! And that included a 10 minute downpour on Saturday - which was meant to be a dry day!

Lol it says a lot about the quality of this summer when we are willing rain totals to rise just for the novelty value!
