Yeah, latest GFS run has deepened the Low somewhat, which as I said earlier, is pushing this system into the 'notable' category for the far SW and SW Wales. Still looks like gusts into the 50s and high 60s will be typical across said areas, but a good few gusts touching 70mph or slightly higher should be expected - the strongest winds occuring during early on Saturday.

And that's not even mentioning the heavy rain and severe convective storm risk for tomorrow. It's looking interesting now folks! laugh.gif

Spot on, looks like an interesting one, best convective set up for ages not to mention the strong low.

First Bow-Line of this Front coming ashore just West of Bournemouth at the moment. Another Bow-Line like Convective feature just South of Chester too with a classic broken S shape West of Birmingham which will be giving some Convective gusts to anyone in that area currently.

An incredible storm system showing at 153, central pressure <944mb, further south than it was before. Is this the storm BFTP was hinting at for around the 20th Nov? I must say I am very impressed with forecasting from BFTP so far this Autumn.

(EDIT: Just realised this is really for Fri/Sat storms, Mods please feel free to move to Storm Disc. or Model Output Disc.)

Looking very very stormy for my area now :cray: a huge upgrade on the 12z, with my neck of the woods getting a more prolonged storm if thats the word to call it.

I'm really looking forward too it now.

Storm, what storm? It's quiet as a mouse here at the moment, although did get some gusts touching 45mph around 2pm today, with plenty of rain. More fun and games tomorrow.
