Been snowing here now since about 0930. Best snow of the winter for us up here anyway. Got about 3 inches worth which is a good amount for our location.

nowt like that here but it is still snowing and with a slight complete cover; that makes 9 days now in February with more than 1/2 cover, I cannot remember the last time one month showed that and a mean temperature of around 1C

Still got steady snow although not as heavy as earlier. we have a good 4-5 inch on the grass, it helped when it got really heavy around 5ish. Really hope it doesn;t turn to rain as I would like to build a snow man with my class in the morning.

Started snowing here at about 9.30 this morning, and lasted till early evening when it turned to rain.

Left about 3 inches of fresh snow, and it seems most parts of the north-east have had their snowiest day of the winter so far. :whistling:

The dog certainly appreciates it.!

snow began just before 1pm, at first light and very intermittent, but within half an hour much heavier falls began with at first 50p size flakes.

as the afternoon wore on snow fell almost continuously, sometimes heavy with large flakes, other times less large, but by onset of night some 2cm level snow had fallen on paths, and road, and more on grassy areas.

at times visibility was down to fog limits.

the snow finally abated by 8pm and left behind a world of white, although the onset of a slow thaw became apparent two hours later.

Afternoon,

A bit milder today, however, blizzards forecast tomorrow with a developing NEly and temperatures forecast at -15C for Wednesday in the village. Better stock up with some more winter fuel.(.ie) logs and lager.

Maybe the snow returns to the UK next week.
