It will start to feel much colder tomorrow as we pull in colder and drier air from the nearby continent:

Expect a hard frost tomorrow night across the south as it clears out:

I think that colder air maybe skirting with e Kent already

Chilly Milly,

I am hovering at 4.3 degrees so you are not far off!

Have a look at the radar, it could get a little bit warmer ahead of the PPN arriving, just a little anomalie! http://www.meteogroup.co.uk/uk/home/weather/radar/united_kingdom.html

Doozer

Thanks Doozer, and thanks for the link.

Hiya all from St Ives in Cambs, signing in again for the winter

We have done alright in previous years and here's hoping for a bit of luck this time

Just wet and currently 5c here with humidity at 50%

Hoping for snow on my birthday (22nd) never happened in the previous 50 years, mind you spent most of that in London, maybe this time

Good luck to everyone

Cheers

Have some sleet mix into the rain here already. Meteo group percip type on my iphone says sleet on the SE endge of the rainband already and shows snow in northern counties from 10pm onwards. I think the Chilterns around to Hemmel will do well and up to Milton Keynes / Bedford area.

We just have rain here at the moment, although I wasn't looking when you posted Tim. Temp dropped to 5.6C

Fanbloodytastic.

That is what I think after watching the 18.25 BBC forecast.

Snow is forecast for Cambs tomorrow, Wed, Thurs and most likely Friday but the forecast didn't go as far as Friday.

I can't understand why some are looking for the breakdown in F.I on the model discussion thread. Enjoy what we have coming and worry about the breakdown later is my attitude.

BBC News showing snow snowers from tomorrow onwards for East Midlands, north of london, then another band moving across to the west midlands. Thursday shows a band of snow for the SE.

Agree 100%

For the record, the Anglia forecast said "significant snow showers" for the end of the week, with a high of 1C on Friday and a min of -4C for Friday night.

What about High Wycombe people

High Wycombe included, tomorrow BBC seem to think it will be anything north of London, south east corner dry and bright and then snow showers all week for SE/EA/EM.

4 Degrees in MK at present, dew point 1.6 degrees.

Any chance the sw off London may get some snow we usually do pretty darn well in these types off scenario. Especially when a Thames streamer sets up :D:) p.s does anyone have a link for the 18:25 forecast or will it repeat at 18:55 over on bbc 24?

I also saw the forecast with joy. Looks like the MetO have upgraded the snow event since their last forecast :) Have you seen NOGAPS 12Z? It's stunning :):D

It's possible, temp, dew point and PPN depending, keep an eye on the radar:

No, I don't think tomorrow's snow showers will lead to a covering firstly I think they will be very light and secondly ground temperature is too high due to cloud, it will take a couple of frosts to prep the ground for lying snow, that's not to say there won't be a dusting here and there (without contradicting myself).

Yep, Look East pretty much saying raining turning to sleep tonight and snow showers tomorrow.

I am suprised by the BBC's daytime temps, they seem high to me.

Off outside for a look, but I think it is just rain!
