do u agree that this snow has reached the intensity of that in feb, because i do and yet its only been like this for under an hour. so so shocked

I don't think there is as much as in Feb, going by how well the car is buried. But the speed at which the snow is falling is is surprising. It has covered a path that I only cleared and salted 30 minutes ago. If (when) this starts to freeze it will get very interesting out on the roads!

Temps holding steady at -0.5. Snowing heavily here and has been for about an hour and a half. Now got about 3in lying and rising very quickly. Roads covered over - even in Hudderfield TC - and that never happens! Supposed to be playing christmas carols up at the Dunkirk in at Denby Dale this afternoon - I think not!! LOL

Still it'll be nice for playing around the village Chrsitmas tree tonight - carols and Brass Band accompaniment in Skelmanthorpe 7.30pm if anyone fancies it!

yes but there is a huge amount of drifting here because of the wind. still another 18hrs possibly of this

Had some snow up at meadowhall, not much down here. Infact its all melting in the 2c Looks like im ay get something in a bit, i hope!

we had 2.2c!!!!!!!! snowed and now dropped to 1.2c and doesnt look like its thawing as its solid on cars now! im sure it will drop! also sun is going down now too!

I agree with your update SFL, the radar seems quite promising. Just hope it continues to stay below freezing.

Dont worry about temps, as long as your dews fine, it's 0.6c temp here with a dew of -1.3c and guess what, it's snowing again
