so we cloud see some snow here again then tonight or early morning? would be nice. Temp now 2.7C and slowly falling. The street road is starting to get sparkly bit under the streetlights, so i think the melt water might actually be starting to freeze a bit already. Bring on the snow lol

I think because we have had more of a westerly airflow today, today is the warmest day of this cold snap coming up for next week

Raining in Aberystwyth? :D

What...?

Not good signs for coastal areas, freezing here now though

When this band moves south how much would it raise humidity and temperature?

well the bad doesn't seem to be doing to bad precip wise, for now anyway. Just hope its not rain when it gets here, hopfully now its getting dark the temp will fall enough so that when and if it gets here we have snow rather than anything else. Temp still falling slowly now 2.5C.

Hopefully bbc and meto are wrong (last night)

Hopefully showers will pepp up

There was a Severe Weather Warning, last night, the BBC and Meto had been forecasting the chance of showers well before the event, but normally they do tend to underplay it.

100% Spot on.

The warmer sea is making it rain in lowlying aberystwyth... air temps down south are a lot colder in the snow fields of pembrokeshire and carmarthenshire.

"The snow fields of Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire"... now that has a good ring to it!

The front is moving south, but the precipitation is moving SSE.

still hope it turns to more to snow, but is there much of a chance of that happening?

Currently 0.1c here, westerly wind blowing. Pressure is rising too. More cloud to the north/northwest... moving ese. No precipitation as yet... Temp hasn't risen much over 1c all day, but there has been snow melt from snow on branches and leaves etc.

I'll post again later. Snow has melted much more quickly in south pembrokeshire and around the coast. Aberporth got up to 4c today... the snow surely melted there!

It initially started out as sleet, then turned to heavy snow around 3:30pm.

The roads are absolutely atrocious here dry.gif
