Just had about half an hour of VERY heavy snow. Haven't seen such big snowflakes for many years.

It was always on the cards that this could fall asa sleet or even rain due to the warm air pocket associated with the front, the better chance of snow "proper" comes after the cold front with streamers off the sea. Sleet here right now OAT is 0.5 and yet there is a general thaw taking place. Not a huge amount of precip on the radar, unless it's very slow moving

little snow coming down in Ogmore vale must be blown over from you guys in maesteg.

virtually nothing coming down now, but some heavy stuff bearing down on us on the radar. should be with us within 20 minutes. looking very gloomy to the north west.

Just seen the St Clears, looking like a blizzard from that heavy band that is in the SW of Wales, giving a very quick covering on the main road

Raining here now

Had another decent shower around 6am looking at raintoday, decent covering now for this area as we usually hardly get any (3-4cm in the back yard) :good:

There is an area of very heavy snow that has developed & should affect North Pembs & most of carmarthenshire soon

It's moving decidedly SE rather than south and the western arm is weakening as it moves right now, I doubt we'll see much from it.

Not here it's not - I'm near Carmarthen - temp is -1c and it's just started snowing moderately, settling nicely too. :good:

From the radar it looks like a nice dollop for us which may last half an hour or so.
