I think this current snow is just the "starters" - I like prawn cocktail meself - the main course is brewing up north wales right now - the low - that'll be the steak - like mine medium to well - to blizzard please!!!!!!!!!

Fresh snowfall this morning gave 3-5cm although it is now thawing and stopped. About 7-8cm accumulated in total on the lawn now and that would be snow lying since last Friday evening here.

Unfortunately that pesky warm sector has risen the temp to 1c now and a slow thaw is underway.

If that's the case we will have serious depths here currently have around 20cm of sno on top of old snow and round 15cm of new snow this morning it hasnt stopped since 8 this morning, magical.

further snow showers packing in behind this intial front now before the main low comes at us - NICE!!!!!!!!!!

oh - heavy snow here - good 2-3cms already

I see blue sky to my west ........ and as others have pointed out more snow gathering to the north and north west on the radar. :)

I don't believe this. Everywhere is getting a drubbing but here in Merthyr we have nothing at the moment. Zilch. Nada.

Un-blydi-believeable.

Met office have now updated warnings for south east wales for up to 25cms over night tonight - GFS still has this threat though for most of south Wales!

OH did I mention - it's snowing heavy here!!!!!!!!!!
