Been looking at the precipitation chart on met website and the sat photo. There appears to be a distinct arc in the cloud and precipitation band, north and south moving in opposite directions. Northerly extent moving westwards and the southerly area appears to be moving eastwards. Is there an unexpected unforcast low developing around the thames estury between the areas of south essex and the northern kent coast? :shok:

Looks like a breif lull for some of us. However there does seem alot of activity in the N Sea just off NE Norfolk.

Sat pics look good (do they i hope)

Snowing nicely again in Norwich - seems to have been a slight change in wind direction which has pushed a couple of showers our way

Either that or its a Wensum streamer setting up :shok:

Night all, nice to have met you all.

See you in the (white) morning.

I must be ready for bed, suddenly, as the heating's gone off, it's cold

Final weather check, temperature -1.0C, Dewpoint -3.0, snowing outside :shok:

I dunno...you escape one thread full of Kent southerners talking about the snow they are getting only to end up in another one of northerner Norfolk and South midlanders talking about the snow they are getting!!!!

:shok:

TEITS...loved reading your summary earlier... I must admit though it doesn't go with my gut feeling that everything will push down further south than even the BBC think at the moment.

If you were to try and see things from a negative perpective, how could things turn out so that they weren't so good for us?

I know you think we will be ok, and I really hope you are right (as I find so often you are), but if you yourself were put to task to find the potential flaws in your own argument, how would you phrase it?

Snow showers really kicking in in Norwich now- it's been a very picturesque day today and I've thoroughly enjoyed it, but we did miss most of the showers until a couple of hours ago. Now chucking it down.

The deepest snow I've seen since I started my weather records (Jan 1993) was 12cm, on New Year's Day when I was up in Cleadon. We only need a couple more centimetres from tonight's showers to beat that here at UEA.

Hello pardon.gif

I'm glad this thread has been formed, was too saturated with Kent types over there! I see a nice looking blob due over my way within the next 30 mins, wonder if that will be it for the night as far as east Suffolk is concerned?unsure.gif
