I like how Tyler and co were driving away from the storm, and someone they passed on the road pointed behind them and then they saw the tornado :whistling: They were going to play catchup with the original meso and didn't notice the spin up on the tail end storm!

Tornados currently on the ground:

NE Kit Karson, CO

S Scott City, KS

W Mobeetie Tx,

N Alanreed TX

And funnels reported with a storm North of Matador heading towards Childress (Paul should be happy!)

Bob Gould's cam is really nice at the moment. Shows a nice lowering and RFD cut on the N Matador cell. looks like it's almost ready to drop...

In other news, we appear to have a small hurricane forming near Scott City!

There are lots of storms now! Can anyone guess any many tornadoes there will be today?

Wow... the models have gone crazy for tomorrows outbreak. The sig tornado parameter is getting as high as 15 in places around Missisppi. If that was 3 or 4, I'd be concerned for a big outbreak. I don't think even the Super Tuesday outbreak got to double figures. Large moderate in place today, and a huge Moderate already in place for tomorrow with a very good chance of an upgrade to High risk. Wouldn't be surprised to see today get upgraded also...

Nasty Day expected but the Nocturnal Threat even more Dangerous. Most of the Moderate or expected High Risk is for the 00z - 09z Timeframe. Would you want to be Chasing in the Trees and then staying in a Motel trying to sleep with a Big Risk of Tornadoes in the early hours.

Unfortunately today unlike yesterday there is a big chance of Casualties due to timing and lack of Chasers.

Saturdays Moderate I think will be the ongoing threat from later today.

Would probably venture as far as Stuttgart and play the 100-200 Miles of flat plains eastwards towards the Mississippi Delta and give up from there and head back West.

Soundings look explosive for the eveing hours, I would be ready for this to go High risk for today's set-up given the 12z profiles were already very impressive and thats before obviously any daytime heating occurs.

I have to admit I'm quite worried that we could see a very big outbreak occuring by the late eveing hours, going to be a very interesting 36hr period once things kick off...

WITH CU FIELD EXPANDING/DEEPENING ALONG THE NRN-ERN PERIPHERY OF SFC
