Both Plays have done well today.

Dryline Tornadoes have been picture Perfect. The Cyclic Supercells on the Warm Front have also produced, Kansas Hogging the 1 Mile Wide Wedge.

Probably end up with around 20-30 Tornadoes of which 15 Will be confirmed and 15 or so Multiple Reports.

Hope this is whetting the guys appetite for next week.

Nick if the Storms rotate and we are on them then we will stream them, lets hope the HP Beasts stay away next Thursday!

Paul S

Edit: Danny's Radar Grab shows these Supercells are moving into a great Environment with 71f /61f TD Spreads, dont need much more with that Elevation!

There are lots of storms now! Can anyone guess any many tornadoes there will be today?

That secodn storm east of Amarillo has a major couplet with it now. Nothing appears on the ground from the cams I can find but it has the look of a storm ready to drop s monster tornado...

Business end of that second tornadic sup is moving over the I-40 right now judging by the radar and live feed driving west, maybe a wall cloud passing over with rotation.

Think I'd wanna place myself in central/Ern Kansas or even Ern Nebraska next Thursday if it came off like that - based on the jet/slp chart.

Yep

If it was a Dryline Play then Central Kansas North from Pratt area would be good, but hey 7 days and a lot can change. Just pleased to see this consistently on the charts, bet the f***ers dont rotate next week :drunk::whistling:

Tx Panhandle Storms seem a bit Linear Now.

Maybe the CF Interaction is happening already with the Dryline ?

Yes it seems that the cold front has overtaken the dryline looking at the 2100z surface analysis, explaning why it's turned rather linear:

Looking at the chart, it's clear that storms over Kansas are forming along the warm front, often a good place for tornadoes because of the favourable backed wind profiles giving strong LL shear along them. Another beauty there NW of Garden City, what a day! Kansas probably best play now that storms are going linear with arrival of cold front over TX Pan.
