Here its pretty heavy but its very wet.

Can report very light snow falling in Northampton. Not going to make any real impact unless intensity picks up later.

Judging by the latest forecast I just saw on BBC you guys in Northampton and other parts of the south midlands look you will not get settling snow but mainly rain I'm afraid. Those further north in the midlands like Staffordshire, Wolverhampton, Dudley and parts of Birmingham look like they could get some settling snow for a while before it turns to rain.

Sticking nicely here, leaves already white. Still 6-7cm of snow left on grass from last week, so might even get top-up back to 10cm... before it all thaws in the next couple of days

If anyone in this area wants to get (probably) their last fix of deep snow for the winter, I would recommend a trip up to Beacon Hill - you can park right at the top just off Monument Lane. You can trudge through a large area of deep snow up there, still up to 10cm deep with some big drifts too.

Reports of it settling in some areas but here it is just making the ground very wet!

I was up in the Cotswolds this morning and there was a lot of snow on the ground there so would imagine it is settling very well up there.

P.S. ARound when should it turn to rain?

OT i stayed over in Shrewsbury on the weekend & was surprised to have enough snow on Sunday to make a snowman that still lives!! Was it very local? Back OT-moderate snow here now.

snowing here! been snowing for awhile! not laying, never mind it's nice to se it coming down! hopefully the precip will become more intense and hopefully the temps. d/points will drop a bit more causing it to lay on the ground a bit! its just amazing how much it has snowed this winter in the west mids. It would have been nice to see a bit more depth but hey u cant have it all!

Snowing quite well here in Nuneaton, turned heavier about 10 mins ago. Has started to settle on grass.
