Agreed. BBC basically do not have a clue. They have me down for a 24c max today, haha get a grip, there's no way it's only going to go up 2c in the 12 hours of sunlight we have left.

Almost makes me laugh. Firstly, it's not the BBC, it's the Met Office, and secondly, to say they don't have a clue because you don't agree with their forecasted temperatures, whether they turn out to be right or wrong, is....well, as I say, it almost makes me laugh.

Up to 22.4C here now, which is a perfect day for spending in the paddling pool with the kids, watching iplayer on my ipod and drinking large quantities of gin, which makes the prospect of going to my mum's even more ghastly. Who knows what entertainment she'll offer the kids today....perhaps some brightly coloured buttons, or some interesting shells she found on Aldeburgh beach back in 1976?

It's already 19.9C here after a low of 12.3C. I think we could beat yesterday's 26.2C easily. I think much warmer temperatures than predicted could be possible because of how dry the ground is here (only 1mm of rain this month).

Sneaked up to 19.1c now, didn't reach that until midday yesterday, so we are seemingly around 60-70mins ahead of the temps yesterday.

Already 23.4º here, and this is in the North East too!

Could see a 27 or 28 if it stays sunny, I'm pinching myself to remind me it is only May.

I'm recording 20.3c now the nearest metoffice site was recording 20.7c at 11am, although that is on a dissused airfield so it might be a little warmer there than here. Looking at everyone else around here either its a lot cooler here or my temperature sensor is under doing things!

Already around the mid-20s here (currently 24C) and expected to climb to 27C possibly 28C...not a single cloud in the sky, even a contrail. Temps tonight in the SE not expected to fall below 17/18C.

Some signs of CAPE for tomorrow across southern areas, which I think could be more prevelent should the front slow down some what. BBC suggesting 30C possible tomorrow across S England tomorrow.

Its certainly warmer than 20C here magic patch - but then you can get local variances and such like. Either way, late morning were in the low 20s, expect that to jump quite a bit by 3-4pm.

Yesterday was a relatively cool day in Norwich with a high of 21C, though it still felt quite hot in the sun. In contrast, today is up to 25C already!

The breeze has picked up here and more clouds are floating about, occasionally wandering in front of the sun, and thus slowing the temperature increase right down - 24.6º is very respectable however I now think we'll be lucky to see much more than 26 degrees today (still fantastic for up here at this time of year)

An absolute spiffing day with constant sunshine and true blue skies, with the temperature creeping to 24*C at 12 o'clock. Feels not quite as sticky today, so probably means the humidity and/or moisture levels are lower. Certainly feels very Summery and would make me believe that I was at the edge of the coast or at the beach walking around in the warm sunshine. A very gentle South-South-Westerly breeze, too. smile.gif

Edit: Temperature now at 25.5*C.

Certainly looks feasible given the amount daylight to go and with the sunny weather being very widespread (except for possibly North-Eastern areas with a chance of some thundery showers). good.gif

Increasing cloud has pegged the temperature back to 25.4c after reaching a high of 26.8c, the highest here since 5th August 2007.
