I know it's sad, but I have a bit of a thing about watching the snow and ice spreading back over the northerne hemisphere, especially Russia.

So I thought I'd start a little thread and post daily images of this process.

So here is number 1.

As you can see we are off the blocks with our first patch of siberian snow (circled), not much to look at, but it's been there 2 days now :-D.

heres image number 1 again.

Like Habsish I am finding it difficult with any web cam sites to find any dump of snow in Norway.

Anyone else with more experience got any web cam evidence?

P

This is always a good resource for Swedish Weathercams

Nice to see some good buildups in northern canada now especially as baffin island has been below average for some time now.

Small loss in russia.

Can we beat it CH? We do have an early start!

I hope so, I also hope that that large island to the far left of Europe stays white for much of the winter

Ty Liltbrockie, I'm a bit late posting today so you've saved me a job :cc_confused:

I was gonna put the caption of 'bye bye green Canada'.

Here's todays pic', not too different save for some snow growth in western Alaska.

There has however, been alot of ice growth which is encouraging. :pardon:
