Nice to see the meto forecasting avg seasonal conditions with spells slightly colder than normal up to mid-November. Pretty much what the models are showing.

More for the south though. If it was unsettled and cooler than average I would be more interested or of course failing that, high pressure for the whole country with morning frost for everyone. :)

UK Outlook for Thursday 2 Nov 2017 to Saturday 11 Nov 2017:

Early November will see a mixed weather pattern with rather cloudy skies on Thursday, bringing some rain and drizzle, as well as some fog in the south. The best of any brightness will be in the north, but further cloud and rain will spread in from the northwest during Friday. It may be windy at times, with a risk of gales in the north. From the weekend onwards, the weather will remain changeable with wind and rain, interspersed by drier, brighter and showery conditions, with snow possible over Scottish high ground at times. There is a chance that the weather may become generally drier, especially in the south and perhaps later in this period. Temperatures will be overall slightly below average, with the risk of overnight frost.

UK Outlook for Sunday 12 Nov 2017 to Sunday 26 Nov 2017:

As we head towards the middle of November, more settled weather in the south may become more widespread, bringing plenty of fine and dry weather, but with a chance of frost and fog overnight. The far north may well continue to see changeable conditions, with spells of rain, but also some drier interludes as well. Later in the month, it is possible that the weather will become more unsettled again bringing outbreaks of rain and strong winds, especially in the northwest. Temperatures will be a little colder than normal under any prolonged settled spells, however later in the month as it turns more unsettled they are likely to return closer to normal.

UK Outlook for Sunday 5 Nov 2017 to Tuesday 14 Nov 2017:

Sunday will start off chilly with a frost possible for many. Sunny spells and showers are then expected for the rest of the day, with the bulk of showers affecting coastal regions. Some showers will probably turn wintry over higher ground in the north. Another cold and frosty night is in store into Monday, which will be a drier day with some sunshine. However, as we head into next week the weather is likely to become a little more changeable, with strong winds and rain expected at times, especially in the northwest, with snow possible across Scottish high ground. Across southern parts of the UK, settled weather is more likely, perhaps with these settled conditions persisting more widely. Generally feeling chilly throughout with fog and frost where skies clear.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 7 Nov 2017 to Thursday 16 Nov 2017:

A band of rain moves erratically southeastwards through Tuesday and Wednesday, heavy at times, and perhaps turning to snow at first over northern hills too. However, ahead of this rain band there will be mostly fine and dry conditions, whilst brighter skies and increasingly heavy showers will follow the rain, with some possibly turning wintry over northern hills. Through the rest of the week we are likely to see a mixed bag of weather, with showers or outbreaks of rain at times. More settled spells are likely too, especially across southern parts. Although the south has the greatest chance of staying dry, rain cannot be ruled out at times here too. It will generally be feeling chilly throughout, with fog and frost forming where skies are clear overnight.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 8 Nov 2017 to Friday 17 Nov 2017:

The weather will be rather unsettled through the end of next week, with bands of rain arriving from the northwest. However there will be drier and brighter interludes in between with a few showers. Rain is most likely in the northwest, with the southeast seeing the longest spells of dry and bright weather. It will be chilly through the period with frost and fog possible overnight where skies are clear and winds are light. In the north of the United Kingdom, snow is possible on some of the hills and mountains, and it will be windy at times too with gales possible. Hi where could I find the meto update for November 2010 thank you

If you go into the Meto further outlook thread which is still available on netweather - you can view a number of updates from Nov 2010 - consistency was clear about an upcoming cold period, remains to be seen whether we see similar levels of consistency in the days ahead..but its not often they appear quite as bullish as this.
