So the season is off and running. Paul & Arron have sampled the delights.

Now down to the dirty stuff.

So far this season, looking at the info that has come in, this season appears to be one of stops & starts, check out the following graph:

tornados-April16_2012.jpg (click to enlarge).

Notice anything?

There are major outbreaks at approx every 6 weeks, since Jan this year.

The interim periods through Jan showed a spell of dormancy, whilst March ran quiet for a couple of weeks, sparked for a few days and quietened again.

So we have had the big outbreak this last weekend, how long before the atmosphere can recharge again, given that the warmed air is beginning to feed North?

IF and I say "IF" the current cycle remains, the next big suggestion is around the later part of 2nd into 3rd week of May, end of tour2 into tour 3(correct me if I'm out on the dates).

Remember this is not not built on atmospheric modelling, pure mathematical collected data & trends.

As Sherm has already mentioned, in comparison to previous years the season looks about 2-3weeks ahead of schedule..

Remember: It's Just for fun

Will be interesting to see what happens I'd think that the trend would generally change (increased frequency?) during the main season from May?

Just a little word of WARNING guys. When applying for the ESTA don't use usaeservices.com If you do you'll be paying $59 for an ESTA which should cost $14! Just follow the link from your airline and you should be fine. I'm hoping to get a refund on my mistake. Am keeping my fingers crossed!

Hi Graham

We try to deter people from bringing heavy duty Cases due to space in the cars etc. I unfortunately have to take a few cases due to being out for 7 weeks and all the kit and kaboodle I have to take.

But Paul M Will send you an Info Pack 2 weeks before your tour which lists all the hints and tips for the tours so it should be in there etc

Not Long Now Indeed!

I wouldn't over pack. I always give that adivice and then do not follow my own advice. The consequences of this failure to listen to myself is a case full of unworn clothes being carried out and then brought back home. You do not need a lot of going out in the evening gear because a lot if times we end up eating in garb we have on. Its not a fashion parade. I mean look at Paul.acute.gif

Just had to update my medical information with go walk about after my eye injury!

Any problems with them? I had serious problems with the medical screening company. Complained to the MD and eventually got covered.
