Hello all. Just driven back to Newbury from Brighton and plenty of wonderful cloud formations across the open landscape of Berkshire ... Lots of great showers visible but not a glimpse sign or murmur of any thunder or lightening. Took some fab photos but now my Internet won't play ball to share with you:(. I haven't checked any charts today so have no idea of the probability of what is in store. Is Gtltw out there??!!

not the slightest breath of wind here... the calm before the storm?... or just wishful thinking?...

Locally now very dark skies, a few large drips falling and tracking approx N/E at 10mph. The back end is about 20 miles to my west and looks interesting but no sferics so I suppose it's not going to amount to much.

Anyone else in S Lincs see the dark skies?

That will be daylight drawing to a close....;) just kidding.. How dark it getting? Know what you mean though some gloom is descending here and the temps have dropped. I just want to hear a rumble!!

Watching the area of rain heading your way up off the Channel and hoping it continues on this way. Can't see any storm activity in it but a period of good, heavy rain would suit me!

Big blob of convection in N Sea off Flamborough Head is now moving landward as the low moves East. Scarborough to Whitby might be in luck. Will need to look out to sea shortly as it still electrified and I might see a few flashes. Have seen this here before - flashes out over the N Sea.

Some very dark looking clouds just to my South, according to the raintoday radar it has expanded a fair amount as it has tracked in a NE'ly direction, expecting some rainfall from it, possibly quite heavy.

Will probably die out before it gets here

Has been raining heavily in Bristol for around the last 3 hours now!

I notice on the radar we have our own little rain system pivoting over us!

Biggest fall of rain I've seen for ages!
