Things struggling to get going here. Too much cloud.

Same where I live, its just been stubborn greyness all day. I've pretty much given up of seeing anything today. There's still a bit of potential maybe when the showers across wales get dragged east across here over the next couple of hours, but to be honest sferics have died down there as well.

Mean looking skies across the centre of London atm with some CG lightning occasionally - looking from the 10th floor of my office in Hounslow, Heathrow bound planes still flying through as they come into land from the east.

Nice occasional rumble, sound like someone playing the drums - am I the only one but the clouds are sort of spinning a little bit??

thunder heard over westbury, no visual on lightning - my wife is also in labour, which is quite surreal!

Ooooh congratulations!! Now, the question is whether you will name the new bundle "Storm"... biggrin.png

Well that's rather queer......cell appears to be moving in from the SW (on radar) yet the clouds are flooding in from the NW/NNW.....

Flash and, albeit pathetic, rumble yahoo.gif

I seem to remember from a Skew-T posted by Coast (for Eastbourne) yesterday (I think) or the day before, fairly decent shear today! I'd keep eyes peeled for possible funnels!

I think today is a no no yet again for here. Will soon be coming up to 2 months since the last storm here. Everything seems to be missing our region again. Quite boring and its this type of weather where i just wish Winter would hurry up! However still September can deliver the goods and has done so in recent years. :)

Yep, an absolute waste of time here, far too much crud & murk around, and to think we were 'supposed' to be in one of the prime areas.....Even the lucky so & so's in London have seen more action than us...and some of them have the audacity to moan about not getting storms this year...tsk tsk! wink.png

Well my speakers are still crackling but I just can't see why! Labelled as the hot spot for today, we've in possibly the most frustrating spot. Another wasted day of radar watching. Bring on September and potentially some of the best storms of the year (if they materialise!)
