There is a little line heading for us but its already hit land now so i doubt it will become more intense, we really need to start seeing the brighter colours showing up soon because once that wind veers westerly the there will start to be warmer secters mixed in with the uppers and will be most likely rain, this is a really small window of opportunity.

Disagree pal, think we may get bit now and at half ten but no where near as intense as early hours of today!

Shower has died now, so those in Manchester who've just seen snow, consider yourselves lucky.

We had some very light, sleety, cold snowy rain before, about half hour ago but the skies cleared after that. Temp about 1.5 c here near the coast, well 20 mins inland from southport.

Well that's was a very short lived light snow shower but that will be the very small cluster on the rain today radar! Look at the bigger blob between 10.15 and 11.45

Skies clearing now after a few hours of cloud.

Temperature should plummet very quickly shortly! :)

The breeze must of kicked in.

That mixed with rising uppers is a recipe for warmer temperatures on the coast.

Something on the radar starting to intensify near York as it heads westwards, something to keep an eye on maybe.

noooo. the front of that shower has died just before hitting me. hopefully the main bigger shower wont do the same.

There is always a chance of this happening as the ridge builds in, not a strong ridge by any stretch but a ridge will nearly always suppress PPN in these setups, its just can we sqeeze some more out first.

It's persistently raining now, this must be the main rain band, or at least an annexe of it.

I think the PPN has all but broke up as the large orange cloud now is hardly there and I haven't had any PPN as of yet and it was very close to me about 20mins ago and nothing.
