Trough getting closer, temp just 0.9c, hoping for something wintry! :good:

Same here. At 0.0c now.

(just watch the temp shoot up to like 4c as it approaches lol... joking aside it probably will now haha)

2.7c heavy rain...lovely.

I suppose your elevation doesn't help Scarlet Snow, how much snow did you guys get last night?

Been out looks mostly rain to me jeez.

0.7c.

Boring.

As the rain drops hit the freezing surface there was like water vapour rising. If skies clear then it's gonna be so icy.

Not even a flake!! Just rain, rain, and maybe some periods of sleet. Being so close to the coast we struggle big time for snow, we only managed 5cm here last year in the depth of the big freeze!

Just went out too and may of heared a rumble of thunder! Ice may be a problem though yes with the clear skies to follow

1.6c :/ jesus. Currently raining.

I've had rain and intense hail (possibly sleet initially)

Some ice still left on car surfaces, helped by the hail which still hasn't thawed.

Edit:

Now 1.8c

Awww

I think we are going to have to wait for a more potent cold spell unfortuantly, temperatures just arent up to it. It's surprising how much intensity there is in these narrow troughs that form though

Yeah I think you're right...

I was really hoping I would have some snow at near air frost temps lol.

Doesn't matter, I wouldn't mind a spell of high pressure now. Dry days, frosty nights... then how about a nice juicy northerly blast feeding constant snow showers down to use ahah

Good night everyone.

Rain just materialised out of nowhere here. Clear skies one minute, hell I was looking at the stars. Then in a few seconds it all blacked out, then started raining... Something. The same strange thick water droplet rain.

A mix of showers here overnight, rain, sleet, snow, hail. Raining at the moment, although radar shows it as snow. I suppose the moisture is just carrying too much warmth from the Irish Sea. A centimetre or 2 of slush on the ground, not particularly nice.

What is looking like for Sunday night all? going into Monday morning.....is it true to say it will be Mild all next week. Talking about the M4 strip - sorry

Any feedback?

Cheers, Carl

Tonight and tomorrow night are likely to be quite icy, with the possibility of further wintry showers tonight. Next week is looking mild and unsettled until the end of the week, when it becomes cool and unsettled, with a small chance of a few wintry flurries, but it would take a very significant 'upgrade' to deliver a proper white Christmas for most parts of Wales.

Ok. Nowit's randomly sleeting? Wth?

And now it's snowing rather heavily. Not sticking though :/

A streamer over us. It's very narrow and might last a few hours maybe looking at the NWextra radar. Well worth a buy if you haven't got it.

The streamer is very simiir streamer to what we saw this very day last December which delivered big time. Of course it was very very cold a year ago.

Andymusic: Yes it wasn't bad was it :p How did your wife's thing go on Thursday btw?

Theres more showers to our NW that could come this way. Temp dropped by 2c to 2.1c during that short lived shower/streamer.
