Snow Joke, do you anticipate more snow this afternoon? for this region?

If there are we'd have to be looking at developments around the Isle of Man or north of it, given the wind vectors and CAPE which is setting these cells off. There's going to be another clump of snow moving in within the next hour, but for now it seems wind vectors are keeping everything south of a line (drawn from Blackpool to Stoke) with only the occasional cell sneaking through this.

Guarantee'd though that given the freezing level and current airmass, anything that does sneak through will again top-up whatever is on the ground. Temps start to drop off this time of year around 3pm, so we have until then to 'worry' about air temps but imho this won't be a problem in itself for places 150m asl and above.

0.8C, dewpoint and wet bulb slightly lower, EVERYWHERE white, got videos and pics. :D

It thinned out a bit here Backtrack and I thought it was turning to rain but it's fluffing up a bit so it should be the same for you.

I really am going this time.... see you all later!

Thats a nice surprise got moderate snowfall and coming down quite nicely. By the looks of things, we could get a good couple of cm's out this too

Still coming down.

Someone turned up to try and get into the gritter stuck outside, but he brought the wrong key.

After looking at the radar I think it could be clearing from the North in around an hour.

Winds are now veering to more of a Northerly, this will kill the streamer.

Thank you snow joke.

As you speak, snow as return. Small flakes, but good intensity.

If can get a another heavy snow fall for a little bit of time then go off, then I'll be happy and satisfied with this unexpected event.

Flakes are now LARGER than ping pong balls.

Thick covering. 0.5C

Interestingly, it's building in intensity as it hits the land! :D

If the uppers continue to fall, then the Irish Sea will be sprouting convection left right and centre.

Sorry, I'm not HC, but there's your answer.
