im going for a bacon sandwich and heading to bed, manchester taf is pretty much same for Liverpool snow showers

Just thought id tell you that Liverpool airport is now recording its lowest temp of the night at 2.8C from 4.2C 20 mins ago, so quite a drop in temp along with 1.7C dp, seems that location is falling into place with the rest of the mersey on this side now..so something is lowering their temps, or their monty python equipment is working again after some one hit it with a rock or two hehe

Not even a cloud in sight here at the moment.

Rain here and a few rumbles of thunder - a vivid flash out west and what I can only describe as a White column heading upwards the direction of Wales - it's all very eerie plus the wind is really gusty now and it's 3C

Night all. I'll be up later on in the morning to examine the fallout from whatever happens tonight.

I'm driving over the m62 (saddleworth moor) in a couple of hours and toward manchester etc. It has been raining here, but will no doubt be falling as snow on higher ground. Can anyone who's on higher ground/ near the snow area tell me if its sticking/ how the roads look etc. Cheers!

Snowed at 5.30am in Oldham east, Shaw, Sholver and surrounding areas. was a decent heavy shower that has covered the grass and roads with about an inch and it has just started again. Most roads are not gritted and the bus routes... well they shouldn't have bothered because the grit has done nothing!

Anyone know the bullshead pub on ripponden road ? My mate just dropped me there (main road and bus route) and struggled to set of again, swerving all over the place. Hope he gets home alright towards hudderfield.

Tell you what, the snow isn't really stopping, its dying down to fine stuff but quite persistent. If we get more heavy snow it could end up quite a deep covering here.
