Will it hit Brighton.. I can't find the link to see ?!

Yes, approx. 12:45 I would say judging by the radar, maybe earlier.

Impressive feature, just for a brief minute it looked like we were in a tropical storm. Worst of it has just passed.

Long squall thats for sure, strongest area east of Chelmsford at the moment from the looks of the radar.

a lot of rain here today, had a couple of hours of fairly heavy rain! winds gusting to around 45mph so not bad at all but met office have a yellow warning for us in caithness and orkney for this afternoon: "The public should be aware of the risk of disruption as North to northwesterly winds increase on Tuesday afternoon, reaching severe gale or storm force for a time" wasnt expecting that!

Squall line just passed over Southwark (just south of the Thames in the city)....great driving rain, now calmed down, but still pretty heavy....

Yeah that was rather intense, visibility dropped to about 100meters. Hail, Rain the lot, the wind must have gusted to 70mph?

My wee house survived a sting jet. Yahhhoooo!! My nearest weather station drumalbin had sustained 66 and gust 95 and I made it thru without losing a slate .

Must be all the practice :-s

Well that was certainly something! A proper squall. Very good storm for this area.

Think the squall just passing over here now, went dark, loads of hail, and now the wind is gusting hard enough to move the glass panels in the conservatory. Hail has passed on and now back to sheets of rain.

Just called my old man at work in Southend and he said it hasn't started to even rain there yet....

Wind is slowly easing, recorded my second highest gust of 82.4mph, the strongest being during the January 2005 storm which I recorded 91mph.

Rather surprised at the severity of this storm, models underestimated the potential right up until the last minute.

Wow it has been very nasty out there, especially with the squall line that has just passed through, lots of trees down in places and so much debrie about.

An interesting start of weather to 2012 :D

Pretty Impressive for UK - Some pea sized hail and the temperature drop was rapid as well. All over within 10 minutes, guttering done for and roads flooded around here, you also have to play dodge the pink recycling sacks (Bin Day) as they are strewn across the roads

Stunning squall line just passed through Southend, the most exciting weather to have happened here for the past 12 months, says it all really!!

Is it supposed to have hit me yet because the rain has just picked up but the wind seems to have died down.
