Snowing in Barnsley since 13.00 but not really amounting to much, just a dusting so far. Given we are now 2 hours into the precip band, I don't see us getting anything like the NAE predicted 10cm. If it continues as now we'll be lucky to see 1cm.

Looks west and imagine it heavier (as the triple point comes closer it will pep up).

Looks like moderate snow is just on the western side of the Pennines and the fact it has slowed moving eastward is good for tonight.

Just light snow here still. Probably 1/2 cm so far.

Annoying that now I live in the town centre, I won't see as much snow as 2 minutes up the road where I used to live (100/150ft higher).

Also raintoday appear to have made their precipitation type free for an hour..

2 hours of light to moderate snow here

everywhere has a covering and some small drifts collecting in the garden when the wind has managed a small gust

about 2cms now. we're meant to get another 5/6hours of snow, so hopefully will get heavier. but 2cms in 2 hours isn't massive!

sits , waiting impatiently, still with the gut feeling we will see very little in the way of snow, is now windy and cloudy but no snow.

don't panic mate plenty of hours to go :good:
