Cant remember what year it was but the forecast was for lp to move along the channel with heavy snow from the m4 southwards (yes I did say southwards, makes a change it's usualy north!) & that was still what the forecast was saying late that night, yet the next morning it was bone dry here and lp system ploughed into northern france instead, that just shows big changes can happen at short notice.

The good old 'M4 corridor', a forecaster's favourite that one.

Yeah I remember that non snow event well, I think that it was around 4 years ago. Mr Anguin was most confident of this snow event taking place that I went to bed that night expecting to wake up to a white out the next day. Nothing.

Currently -5.6 now.. Still falling..

Ohh tomorrow is going to be hard to watch.

One thing I will say is that I really dont expect the PPN to be anywhere near as heavy as being progged!

Agreed, some people in other parts of the country that are expecting a dumping might be disappointed. I think the pressure is still too high.

Oh well, does anyone know if the England rugby game tomorrow is at Twickenham or murrayfield, there might be snow in london towards the end.

Murrayfield so no problems with the match being affected by weather

If it turns out not to be as good for the central/eastern areas as they're currently expecting I wont be so gutted about missing out on this event, nah I'm not really that mean :p lol

Keep an eye out from Sunday night into Monday on the 18z, I believe that could produce something for higher ground in the SW.

The barometers still rising now at 1038.1 with humidity dropping to 73% with a temp of -4.1. thought it would be going the other way by now.

Well I have now just dropped to -9.1c but my sensor is 1m off the ground.

The station in my sig is 2m off the ground and reading -8 with a DP of -10.0c :acute:

That is some bloody cold air this front is going to be coming up against and I really don't think it's going to get as far as is being modeled.

-7,2C at the moment and pressure reading 1038mb so this front surely has to slow down as it reaches the mainland?!

Trouble is Paul, you just don't know. We all have a pretty good idea whats going to happen. Your positiveness and appropriate charts are keeping me ob my phone a little while longer.

Ah hello fellow Abbeymead resident :)

Yeah I dont believe that it will pass through so easy. Even now it currently looks like its slowing down..

So who knows.

What I do know is that Ill probably spend tomorrow down the Turmut waiting for it to arrive!

I can just hope that it stays as snow.. Im trying to stay positive but its hard lol
