12m NNE from Hastings

-3.1C

54% Humidity

DP -11C

Never made it above freezing today. Time to throw another tree into the woodburner - heating struggling a bit on its own.

Same here re the woodburner. My wife lit it at 9.30am and it's been roaring away all day. It's lovely laying In front of it after being out in the cold all day!!!

Everyone interested (you guys i hope) should turn there central heating off over the coming snow period to reduce urban heat pollution, and as an act against global warming! Call it a snow day!!

NO we've had some awesome spells of snow these last 3-4years if it continues bring on the global warming :p

I've just noticed this too, my RainToday app has gone off, and upon checking it, there's a blob. A sizeable blob too.

However, both net weather radars don't seem to have it, so unless it's the apocalypse, I think we can assume it's a little gremlin. (I could of course be entirely wrong, it happens) - given the Met O have had trouble with their site today, big pinches of salt :)

ladies humidity is directly related. If both temp and dp are the same then we have 100% humidity and clouds would form!:)

Global warming wouldn't cause more snow...Technically and in the long run..It could cause England to be easily as cold as say some parts of Norway and even colder than that..This is due to the sheer amount of fresh water being dumped into the sea..Sinking the Warm currents that keep us warm..This won't happen over night of course though...

Thanks for that Mike. But with this dry air we do need moisture? Is that right?

Wonder what MO will do with rain on the coasts after promising afternoon runs, suppose their playing it safe just in case there are downgrades tommorrow, which is possible.

Hammer I have just seen that as well :nea: . Anyone in that neck of the woods care to take a little peek out the window and see if it's what we think it is.

Nothing here.

It would be hilarious if that was a genuine radar picture. There would be all sorts of investigations into how such a big and heavy area of snow could develop widely without warning!

I am trying to be realistic and understand that we may not get what is predicited but it's pretty hard when you look at some of these charts. BBC News 24 weather has just shown what looked like some snow showers down our way for Friday night.
