Still snowing here in RP - bigger flakes now

7-8cm

But temperatures on the rise - been rising steadily from a "low" of -0.8c at 8pm to 0.4c now

The snow size isn't that impressive but the wind blowing it makes it so, I'm hopeing there is more depth on the road by the time i wake up :D

Don't worry Shedhead and WIB have done a good job in his absence. Always calling mild and completely wrong lol.

WIB = "Was Ian Brown" (?). Just a thought. How's it going your way TEITS. I have to say you and Steve M have been calling it pretty good of late.

Looking at the radar returns North London & NW looking good with some red echoes- very heavy snow- a certain 15cm there -

Thats probably what the models were showing with regards to higher amounts, very impressive burst of heavy snow there though.

Very pleased with whats going on tonight!

I have been watching, what a fun thing to do. Amazed how many cars still driving about.

Have just been out and given my little Lotus a boot around the car park.

Lightweight and rear wheel drive is fun in the snow...

At least until you have to go up a hill with summer tyres and car that weighs nothing :)

All good fun though!!

Why the hell are parts of London getting the biggest flakes and totals and not kent where it was supposed to stall

Is the warmth of the city causing it?

Tom

I think the Triple Point is just south of Southampton at Present and moving into the Channel. This would also tie into the Intense Precip Core West of Portsmouth. Some Thundersnow likely down that way in the next hour I would have thought!
