10 cm in High Wycombe - still snowing but not long to go now. Hope it doesn't turn to rain...

I'm surprised how well my area has done. My expectation was around 3cm to 5cm but there's about 9cm lying snow which is great considering of the winter we've had so far :)

Loads of snow now great!! :o)

You are under a yellow blob on the radar - it lasts a while:-) I grew up in Horsham and know Billingshurst well, enjoy your snowy sunday, still slushy here in Brighton

Absolutely chucking it down now. Similar to Paul S, wind is really blowing with snow falling horizontally. Lovely stuff!

Yep, make the most of it. Not often (if ever) we can say we are in a sweet spot for snow.

Flakes looking bigger now, could reach or even breech the 10cm depth

Apparently 100 cars have been abandoned in High Wycombe.

About 10cm here in West London.

Not surprised, as Steve said they happened to go under what looked like quite an intense burst, probably for a 20-30 min period at 4-5 inches an hour.

http://www.xcweather...FR/observations

the 1028 pressure line has held there for about

2 hours now round the far south east

think that is where the front will stall :)

That's right JP.

Snowing moderately :D:clap::cold::yahoo:

Lucky we cancelled our plans to go out for my birthday then! Had a few drinks, a takeaway curry and a roaring fire instead... :drinks:

Looks like the sweet spot is setting up just east of where I am, you can see it on the radar with the expanding area of stronger precip over Essex into Suffolk. Some intense convective looking returns coming into W.London, those on their own will probably locally add 2-4cms.

Shrimper, watch out, it may pep up for you in the next hour, your well placed if the higher returns spreads south.

Think Colchester will breach 15cms...

Looking to West now not East, if the front was stalling it wouldnt be moving, i can still see it moving from West to East, also why isnt it moving West, so the Atlantic Air is moving in

Has been Wet Sleety Snow for the last few hours here hence the Accumulations of only 3cm and that Benfleet Picture backs that up (Looks like 2-3cm there as well)

Still enough for Snowmen in the morning and some fun on Sledges!
