Very misty of foggy start to what promises to be a lovely day.

You can tell its Autumn when days start and feel like this in the mornings though!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Just started my BBQ and sun has turned very hazy.

As you say though, still pleasent enough outside!

Wonderful drive through the West Country to East Devon and back this afternoon with bright sunshine alternating to hazy sunshine thanks to some large areas of pretty Cirrus - watch for a stunning sunset this evening!

Plenty of harvesting happening throughout the region :-) !

Hello all! I now join you as a south westerner this upcoming week as I move to Falmouth, Cornwall :D I only return to the midlands in the holidays. Can you lot promise some exciting weather? Saying that Cornwall looks stunning in the sunshine, almost mediterranean like!. And the Local BBC forecasts are much better in the SW! Lol.

Welcome blizzards. You will get more sunshine on this thread, but if it's snow you want it seems to stay very well hidden in the south west!

If it is "Blizzards" you are after then Falmouth isn't the place to go. About as rare as a Liverpool FC win down there!

Cornwall is lovely in the summer, plenty of warm sunny days. In the winter it tends to frequent mild Atlantic dross more than anything else!

Had more showers than was expecting here today with 2.4mm totalled here so far. Not exactly a flood of rain but made things look and feel quite Autumnal at times. Currently 15.5C.

It was amusing watching the national BBC forecast and the local Points West forecast around 13.30 today with both suggesting a mainly dry afternoon region wide in the West Country while the radars showed a number of drizzly and sharp showers running SW-NE.

We've had the first measureable rain since the very wet Wednesday nearly a fortnight ago with 1.5mm this afternoon, but unless the Cold Front brings anything meaningful this still looks set to be quite a dry week with only weak fronts expected on Wednesday and Friday.

Lots of talk of it feeling colder and Autumnal tomorrow, but given likely plentiful sunshine it will feel pleasant enough until the evening.

A bright and dry day here in the West Country with fragments of cumulus cloud and increasing Cirrus in the Western sky. Cool at 16C especially standing in the cool NW breeze.

A cloudy drizzly morning currently but much milder than yesterday morning. Signs of improvement already there though.

How much rain did you get this morning Gibby? 2mm in Warminster from a few hours of rain/drizzle. A much different weak cold front to recent

ones which have provided lines of sharp/heavy showers.

Hello from Falmouth! :D

Quite cloudy across the SW today though a few brighter breaks especially down here in the Deep SW where the breaks in the cloud were larger and more frequent though still a lot of cloud. Mild. :)
