Morning everyone. A rain shower has just started here on the south coast. Let's hope it moves away quickly.

Still keeping everything crossed for Tuesday in Weymouth.

Awakened at 5.45 this morning to hear a very thundery downpour .Now a big black expanse of cloud looming over my garden with the sunreally doing it's best to shine as well.A lovely contrast.

The forecast not looking good for us sitting on the floor at the nothe fort tomorrow for the sailing :-( it was bound to rain it's the luck we have!

The forecast not looking good for us sitting on the floor at the nothe fort tomorrow for the sailing :-( it was bound to rain it's the luck we have!

Looking at the latest forecast the persistent rain should be gone from the South coast by 09.00 ish, however it may remain drizzly.

Even better forecast on Points West this evening with a fairly bright/sunny spells warm sector over much of the region from mid morning.

Had a fantastic day at the nothe today. We had a few spots of rain at about 12.30 but the sun was strong through the clouds. Got a bit of sunburn on my face!

!7c.Breezy..Cloudy..Did have a heavy Peasedown shower this morning...

Courtesy of Google maps, I can now see where you live. It seems like a nice part of the world. good.gif

0.4mm today in Newbury and from memory, that arrived in the early hours. I can beat your location with Peasemore, which is not many miles from where I live.

If Thundery downpours are your cup of tea, the next couple of days could produce some fun and games. Thereafter, maybe a brief settled period and a warming trend for a few days next week.

Nice area here .Overlooking a valley where the crash scene was filmed for Titfield Thunderbolt.The Somersetshire Coal canal also ran through there.Though abandoned The remains can clearly be seen.

18c..Broken Cloud..Southerly Breeze 9mph.Rained earlier...

Hello,

All very boring and fairly cloudy here although I did see a storm last weekend at mums (nothing in Portsmouth though). Looking forward to moving more inland in the hope of getting slightly more interesting weather - it will certainly improve snow chances in the winter if nothing else!

Just heard on the main news that parts of North Somerset were badly flooded yesterday, mainly Nailsea & Portbury

Mini-monsoon here in north Bristol this morning - repeat/rinse from last night at around 19.30 - that rain was absolutely torrential, thunder & lightning as well.
