Noticed the conker trees are turning but thats mainly down to a mite eating away at the leaves, been plagueing the UK for a while.

Only the horse chestnuts, but that is due to bleeding canker not an early autumn - sadly about 50% of the conker trees seem to be affected with this disease when you look closely at the leaves they are riddled with a rash of small rust-coloured pockmarks which from a distance give the appearance of the leaves turning brown !

PS beat me to it - but here is a picture to show you what it looks like ....

For many years I've been aware of horse chestnuts' leaves changing colour first, so I'm never surprised when I see it. Didn't realise it was caused by a disease though!

I think everyone is just fed up haha!

so heres the video I shot of the rotating storm it includes me and my dad geeking out which i had already posted but thought it was awesome so I had to post again!

Morning all.

Sunny spells with mid level cloud here. Earlier the sky had that unstable look you sometimes get on a summer's morning before storms later (altocumulus castellanus etc.)

Nothing dramatic forecast here mind you. Maybe that instability will be reserved for the near continent? but I'll be watching for any developments later.
