something to watch

Rtavn3603.png

look at that atlantic storm

looks pretty potent

to go with this

Rtavn36014.png

that would force that low pressure a long way south

and the jet looks to be diving south also

needs a watch

also look at the top chart

see the 528 dam line showing up northcool.png

Morning all. A day that has the feeling of rain later about it...

Quite good looking CAPE / LI charts for the north of our region tomorrow.

From the Hi Res Model for midday tomorrow.

Just seen Coast's post and also looked at charts for this evening, which indicate a storm risk even then, with the passage of the front. smile.png

To be honest though, I'd much rather have a hot and thundery type of bank holiday weather than we're gonna get...

It looks like Norwich may get some action this evening or early hours tomorrow morning. :D Gosh I do hope so. A night time storm would be brilliant and I'm back home this eve. âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡âš¡

Lovely morning here - unfortunately I'm working flat out today or I would be out enjoying some fresh air before the rain arrives !

Hope you all have a lovely Bank Holiday weekend anyway - make your own sunshine angel.gif x

Any chance of a storm in Thurrock today or over the weekend?

I'd say a low chance today and a very reasonable chance tomorrow.smile.png Here is the CAPE / Lifted Index chart from the GFS 6:00 run this morning, for 3pm tomorrow. Quite high CAPE, negative lifted index figures and very little convective inhibition (from another chart) says it's looking good to me.biggrin.png

And looking at the Hi Res model, it looks like this High CAPE, negative lifted index and almost no convective inhibition lasts for a lot of tomorrow too.

The Hi Res model also implies a chance of t&l this evening too. There's thunder in the English Channel currently. It remains to be seen I guess...

Lets hope it holds off for a while this weekend, gratuitous plug coming up but if anybody finds me, I'll buy them a pint!
