Bedford, Cambridgeshire, Central Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea, Suffolk & Thurrock

Spells of heavy rain and thundery showers have the potential to cause disruption during Saturday. The public should be aware of the risk of localised surface water flooding, with strong to gale force winds clipping the extreme south, notably East Sussex and Kent.

It seems to be the sweet spot for thunder in our area this summer. I'd noticed that on the radar too, but didn't want to post about it, as I have already done several times this summer and don't want to be known as Mr Groundhog!laugh.png

Torrential rain here, got the gazebo up thank god. Thunder, haven't seen any lightning yet.

There's a heavy shower passing north of Colchester, headed your way, but with the life cycle of individual cells, it might not make it. Fingers crossed though.biggrin.png

Who has a massive storm goin on towards the West geez thunder every second not on my door step yet?

I'm in brentford, west London, have had this storm rumbling past hour or so. Torrential rain a few mins ago. Got a v bad head too. Sky v dark to my south.

Line of showers heading up towards the Wash, on my doorstep and electrified but I'm busy right at the moment :( Unlikely to see anything move further east at the moment.
