The sun is out now. Got close sferics but no thunder from them yet. O yes there's a very distant rumble, can't tell where from though.

Your behind the line now everything to the east past Kirby

Guess who's downwind of that gap......

There's always a gap where storms round here are concerned. I anticipate the lightning detector strike map will show said gap around S Cheshire later......

Its filling up slowly... and your far enough east that if it did you might be ok... Only might though ;)

Lol a 'might' will be a 'no chance' in reality. I'll be right lol, I'm always right by default when forecasting storm liklihood for Crewe; Crewe no longer does storms :p

Annoying, the line is on the doorstep but the sferics have eased off... should be half an hour of heavy rain unless things change quickly.

I suspect that the usual thing will happen, that it skips over us western areas and peps back up when heading into the West and then East Midlands...

Noticeable drop off in Sferics nationally over the last 15 minutes.

Powercut at work 5 minutes ago and it's starting to rain with the sky darkening rapidly. This could be it for me.

Watching this line of heavy precip move closer to me. Seems to be lots of movement in the clouds base that's for sure. Very blustery here.

sadly the line heading this way is falling apart... less intense rail fall and no lightening record with it since Welshpool. going to have to get lucky for it to get going again!

So where are the tunns of sferics I can hear on the radio coming from? A lot sound very close and powerful.
