So so jealous of you guys between Liverpool and Manchester.....just a few miles north but may aswell be a different country. If I'd still got my car I would have bombed up the M6 and headed towards Stockport way to intercept.

At least it's drizzling in Lincolnshire...still going here.

I hope you get something later, there is still a chance. Otherwise tomorrow has potential.

After some torrential rain sun is making its first appearance of the day! Wonder if any more showers will develop later on as the Met Office forecasts show...

Beautifully sunny and clear here for the last hour. However it's looked very black over Manchester and Burnley since 2pm.Seems like a great black slug hanging over there.. Radio crackling all the time.

Thunder round about here only between 1 and 2pm. Some short deluges too then.

I can see it from here and have done so for the last 45 minutes, a different world here.

Air traffic diving it into Manchester like a airshow here as the line starts to get ever closer, most likely getting in ASAP before the crosswinds effect the runways for the short-term.

A556 north of Knutsford showing the convergence nicely, looks like a classic 'whales mouth'

Looking at Eastern Spain and the Balearics, a potential phenomenon known as 'Gota Fria' could happen with torrential storms occurring due to cool Northeasterly winds going over the very warm Mediterranean Sea. Should give quite a show for tourists who are really in search for good storms on holiday!

Dang it just going to miss me here now. The storm shield must be up and running today with the line pivoting across Lancs at the wrong moment, precip and sferics starting to drop off now anyhow.

Saw lightning to my south.. raining heavily but think the worst has definitely avoided here or it has fizzled out.
