NASA TV is also providing live coverage of ISON's perihelion, they are discussing it now

Looks like Comet ISON may well be no more. First pic, then about 90 minutes later

 

 

Seems to have vapourised from that. No sign of it on the SDO cameras, should be visible by now.

Yes was very interesting to track and has no doubt provided masses of data to astronomers around the world. 

 

Always seems to be the one's with hype that never come to much. Can't remember Mcnaught in 2007 getting any hype at all
