The web cam below confirms not much happening just now:

I've never seen that webcam before so thanks for bringing it to my attention. cool.png Had a great skiing day tour up there back in Dec 2010 and look forward to repeating it.smile.png

Edit ... Frigid & crunchy in Moffat this morning with near 100 % snow cover remaining.

lolling at the MT thread with phrases like 'it really stresses me out' or 'im really tired of it all'. Its the 3rd Dec and it's the weather. If all you have to worry about is a set of computer weather models you seriously need to get out more drinks.gif

1.3c/1.0c/ NW Sky still weird looking but nothing falling yet. Yes, self mutilating on the MOD yet again! Certainly not concerned at the mo'. The set-up is amazing. Patience required.

Yes, looks decent to me still. I do have an instinctive dislike of big Siberian highs as they're very much overrated and often leave us in a pretty unspectacular dry southeasterly flow so the sooner we can get retrogression to Greenland the better IMO! Still, I wouldn't deny that they can deliver big time if the set up is right

after the snowy start, it turned to rain/snizzle about 10ish, but has now turned back to snow, smaller light flakes so I'm presuming this is the 2nd band.. off to work, have fun all and hope as these bands hit you later it will have cooled enough :)

NMM run looks pretty active throughout this afternoon.

Great to see that just about everything tracking in over Scotland at any angle turns from rain > sleet > snow just snow.

Just been outside and still just rain here in St Andrews. 3c/2c, I would expect that by the time the colder air reaches us later this afternoon the precipitation will have cleared. As usual....it's very difficult to get snow here in coastal NE Fife! ;-)

Just travelled to Eurocentral and sky relatively clear. Weather station at home been recording no higher than 2.5°c with a tendency for rain over next 36 hours.

Nice for us to see snow on Sunday night, shame it turned to rain by 0300 Monday morning.

Yes, looks like it may just nose into SE England which could even leave us in a South Westerly on the Northern side. Better if it was much further North or heads towards Greenland as you suggested.

Just in from work. Sleety/wintery mix in Inverness but snowing up here at the house some 11 or so miles to the south east. Looks like it has been for a good while. -0.5C

That's a wonderful pic you posted Lorenzo! Similar to the one Scotster posted yesterday which was superb
