Yorkshire snow shower HEAVEN!

UKMO 12z is shaping up nicely for the whole of yorkshire!good.gif

UW96-21.GIF?12-17

well, things are not looking so good now, been reading the model thread and it looks like the warm sector is going to ruin our chances of snow.

Look at the iso northern chart on my post above. Yorkshire stays in the snow line all day! then rushes west again

Freezing level 12pm 100m or below!

Freezing level 150m at 3pm

Freezing level 6pm 0m!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any -50C uppers there? Seems that's what we need to get snow on the coast!!

Does that snowline you talk of include the east coast? The forecasts i see are showing sleet now down the coast.

Would love to have an event where i could look forward to seeing snow worry free. Perhaps i should move inland!

I'll stop moaning now. ;)

We've had a couple of light graupel showers here so far this afternoon, but its still a bit too warm yet. By late evening -9C 850hPa air should be touching the east coast, so anything that falls should be snow or ice pellets by then.

Tonights showers could upgrade as a stream of showers is taking place in the north sea

Sorry my post didn't post straight away and no posts were on originally regarding latest runs. All I had heard was the possibility that it had all gone horribly wrong but looks like that just not the case.

Let it snow let if chow let it snow.

We just has a slight dusting now in scunny

Looking good here for snow Monday.

Surely it'll be all snow for west yorkshire/Leeds?
