199.2 mm here up to 0800 g.m.t today. I'm beginning to think the 2007 record of 217mm might be under threat if the thunderstorms on Thursday materialise.

I sincerely hope so!

280mm here now. Not sure what the record is but we must be getting close.

It's not so exceptional as a summer month though lately, I recorded 305mm in July 2009, 285mm in July 2008 and 290mm in July 2007. What a shocking run of July's huh?

June 2007 was a relatively decent month with only 165mm.

Up to 161.6 mm after last nights rain making it the third wettest we've recorded for June. The record is unlikely to be broken though. So far we've recorded 544.6mm for the year. The average is normally 404.9mm.

June is one of the driest months of the year on average which makes this month all the more remarkable.

So far I've recorded only 110.4mm here but we are often pretty dry being in the south east and we did miss out on a lot of rain from 2 seperate low's on the night of the 21st and the 22nd, some places recieved half a months worth of rain each night when we only recieved 3.3mm on the night of 21st into the 22nd and only 0.6mm on the night of 22nd into the 23rd which was amazing to me that we just had nothing really! hopefully we have a good storm tomorrow to nudge up my June total! ;)

The rainfall total continues to crawl slowly toward the June record. Currently on 202.3mm up to 0800 g.m.t today and a good storm today would do it; a really good storm might even put us in line for the wettest month ever but as ever in these situations it's very hit and miss.

17.2 mm required for the June record and 43.4 mm for the all time record.

Yesterday's storms brought the June total to 222.0mm; the wettest on record. If you'd asked me at the end of June 2007 whether it was likely I'd see a wetter June in my lifetime I'd have said no.

Bar some showers of biblical proportions today and tomorrow June is very unlikely to catch the next up on the list, which is December 1993 with 231.7mm, so it looks as if it will end as the 4th wettest month of any in the last 35 years here.

Eventual rainfall total after yesterdays storms was 20.4mm, bringing the total for this month to 140mm so far, still not as wet as June 2007 (161.5mm)

200.7 mm so far this month after reading gauge at 10BST .

Only 8.9mm collected this morning for the previous 24hrs. We were just brushed by the big storms yesterday.

Daily rainfall readings made here since 1968.

June record 210.0 (June 2007) might be broken. After so much suffering and sodden gardens and farmland, it would be a great shame if we missed by the odd mm or so. Just some beefy showers needed before Monday at 10BST.

All the calendar months have their maximum totals since autumn 2000, except March and April.

Is there a message in that? Or just one of those things?

Top four John;

August 2004........ 245.6 mm

October 1998.......236.1 mm

December 1993....231.7 mm

June 2012.............222.0mm so far.

At my previous site I recorded 231.9 mm in December 1965 and 208.1 mm in February 1977.

Looking at other local records this site would probably have recorded around 260 mm in Dec' 1965 and 230 mm in Feb' 1977 but as rainfall is such a variable parameter over relatively short distances these are fairly general estimates.

Recorded 115.4mm for Warwick so far in June. Not sure what the record is, though.

Not a record, June 2007 had 151mm at Walsgrave, Coventry, and even wetter in the City centre.

285mm here currently which is some 300% the average, hopefully we can hit 300mm. The wettest month I've recorded in the past few years was November 2009 with 475mm, so nowhere near that.

It's going to be a close thing.

Well that's it for this month, 15mm from last nights rain and today's showers has brought the month's total to a nice round 300mm.

June: 300mm (average 90mm)

Apr-Jun: 595mm (average 285mm)

Year so far: 885mm (average 810mm)

The second wettest summer month I've recorded after July 2009 with 305mm.

That's a staggering total for the year so far, its almost as much as we've had here in the last 2 years!

Its looking like the total for June will be 84.8mm. In recent years 1997, 1998, 2003 and 2007 were all wetter, with 2007 being the wettest month ever on 206.9mm, so well ahead of this year.

For the year so far we're on 301.8mm, which is almost exactly average (99% of normal). Its worth noting though that the whole of 2011 recorded just 351.0mm, so this year is looking very different to the last. As for Apr-Jun, thats on 250.6mm. 1998, 2000 and 2007 all recorded more.

June comes in the second wettest month of the year so far, just behind April. Pretty much double the average June rainfall.

January: 56.2mm

February: 14.0mm

March: 17.7mm

April 128.4mm

May: 40.6mm

June: 112.5mm

2012 so far: 369.4mm

It's around average though, 885mm vs 810 average by this time of the year. A very dry Feb-March has evened things out somehwat. Just live in one the wettest places in Britain (yearly average 1,810mm). Wettest year in recent years was 2008 with 2,115mm.
