October finished the run of extremly wet months coming in below average at 64.3 mm. So far we've had 946mm of rain chasing down our record 1065mm Just need the next two months to hit average and we will have a new wettest year.

October came in at 58.2mm. September was 97.9mm, so above average, but August and July were not very wet, July had 67.3mm and August had 51.2mm. Our location often misses out in heavy rainfall so hardly a surprise.

Year to date total is 669.1

At the moment somebodies turned off the taps. Just 2.4mm of rain so far this month up to this morning. Not much sign of any significant rain this week either.

It's looking quite likely we'll have the second driest first half of November in the last 50 years here. 11.2 mm so far this month which is 2.9 mm more than the driest first half on record in 2007 and 3.9 mm less than the second driest first half in 1988.

A dry start to November has brought a grand total of 5mm in the first 15 days of the month

Quite a few Novembers have been dry here

2007 - 37mm

2008 - 33mm

2011 - 19mm

The wettest recently was in 2009 with 141mm fell

The warmest November recently was in 2010 when a high of 17.2c was recorded

The total for 2012 so far is 622mm

The 1981 to 2010 average is 651.1mm

So we are now just 29.1mm of the average

Year so far is on 777mm here which is about 30mm below average.

November has been very dry with only 7.5mm.

You would hardly know it though as little drying occurs and numerous days have had some rain.

Up to 10mm for the month now and after Tuesday it looks like becoming drier and sunnier again here with the bulk of the rain staying in western areas

As is usually the case with westerly/south westerly dominated months the NE has been the driest part of the country.

Ridiculously dry here with just 7.0mm in total so far. Aboyne has had just 5.4mm and Kinloss has been driest of all at 5.0mm.

Looks like more substantial rain in the next two days but nothing to get the total anywhere near the average of 81mm. We got all the rain and gloom we should be getting this month in summer rolleyes.gif

Very little rain so far now up to 14.3mm for the month. Maybe some more on Thursday and overnight tonight time will tell of course. Since it's a match night it probably will chuck it down as the match ends.
