68.5mm

Wettest month since February 2011.. will we approach 100mm I wonder?

April 2008 had 104mm, and up to the 24th, we had 70mm, similar to the total now, so it's possible, we just need one more big deluge. Or two.

We had about 28mm here on Monday which brought the total for the month up to about 65mm, then late yesterday we had a spell of heavy rain from slow moving showers which ended with torrential rain and impressive hail, giving another 10mm

Already got over an inch of rain today with rain at the moment and heavy showers expected throughout the day. This means the months total has just exceeded 100mm which seemed a bit far fetched just a week ago. Possibly some heavy rain at the weekend or early next week too.

Already up to 130mm for the month, wettest since November 2009

Depending on whether I catch some potent showers over the next few day's will decide whether I beat November 2009 which recorded 170mm.

Good frontal rains in the last few days, with more to come this weekend. Its probably going to help with regards to the drought conditions I'd have thought though on its own its not going to be enough to be able to lift any hosepipe bans, not even close...

The April total here is now 159.5 mm making it the wettest April on record and, going by the Buxton record, probably the wettest locally since 1920.

The previous record here was 156.0mm in 2000. 8.4 mm required to take this month into the top twenty wettest months of all.

128mm so far this month, more that half the total for the whole year, which is currently 239.5mm! Interestingly we've had 99mm in the past 9 days- and its still raining!

Just over 100mm so far here, wet for April, but not compared to our wettest months (300mm).

Over 80mm at parents in Rugby.

Up to 99.0mm here now which is the wettest since 2000 and looking at the Hull figures probably the 4th wettest locally in 165 years.
