I would not pay to much attn to them. Bottom line to whats being displayed 5 days out has every chance of being incorrect. Big pattern change going on,Model output past 5 days is like trying to pick the winning lotto numbers. Stay tuned the fun is just starting.

I meant for the next 48 hours with tomorrow nights small snow event looking like just rain now

hi yamks

i agree but trying to predict when it looks 100 percent to me drinks.gif

Hi JP, When you do your FAX chart update later on, can you take a look at a possible stalling period I think could take place on Monday/Tuesday. We could be looking at several inches of snow help.gifhelp.gifhelp.gifcold.gifcold.gifcold.gif

Latest GFS shows three snowfalls, Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday, with Snow showers on the way from the North Sea. Could be special early next week!

If its going to be anything like 1947 (very unlikely) according to my Grandfather, there was reports of trains getting buried !! My god if that happened today, I would not believe it

And Southeastern trains would have a genuine reason for not running a service that day laugh.png

I have to admit to being slightly gutted about the prospects for snow after the weekend... As Im sitting here in 26c in New Zealand (-: & will miss the first bit of action of 2013. Have fun everyone.

Yes Wednesday could also provide heavy, penetrating snow showers from the North Sea!

So far the 18z gives the south east a pasting for a good 30 hours with only 1 3 hour gap of a lul in the snow!....wonder if that'll verify?

Ironic Ben, Upgrade then tomorrow. lol

Hi Jason, hope you are well.

Wonder if the other models will begin to pick up on this second shortwave tomorrow. Unless I'm mistaken only GFS is picking up on this second shortwave on Tuesday, interesting to see the model output tomorrow and if they begin to pick up on this feature!
