Well now it barely looks as though it snowed at all! Not even any slush of the pavements, just water!

The snow isn't done yet far from it

I hope it's remotely accurate somehow lol No snow left here on the coast but I am hopeful that this cold spell will still have a sting in its tail - either way its a massive upgrade (not hard) to last year so I am still happy!

Same here just a few patches left on the grass and cars, more snow needed to replace it!

Ppn north of edinburgh is definatly heading inland now so if the ppn off our coast follows suit it will swing into us in a couple of hours or so.

Lucky you smogonthetyne, hopefully that will come over to mainland Middlesbrough, this weekend might bring us another snow event if I'm reading some of the comments on the model discussion thread right

What's everyone's opinions on tomorrow? Usually I get excited at the prospect of North Sea convection, but I have a feeling there won't be much of it about tomorrow due to residual cloud from today's system. I hope we can get a covering tonight though from the front moving back inland, but it obviously won't be as heavy as when it moved through the first time!

Sky news have us to have 3-4 hours of snow with the front moving back in off the North Sea.

Hopefully the next band of snow (if it come) will arrive later on when everywhere quiets down giving it time to lay properly this time and then has time to freeze up for in the morning that would help the snow last longer unlike during the day when it turns slushy quickly before it has time to freeze over

The band is intensifying and moving slowly back in. It reminds me of late November 2010 when a similar occurance produced 8"

NE flow at upper levels- with -8c/-9c uppers- lower pressure than usual as well. Residual cloud from todays system will be quickly eradicated overnight, with the establishment of a completely new airflow-

system curling in.. here we go again
